Lengthening a waistline trick

Cut twice and it's still too short? Well, you might not be able to add inches to a piece of 2x4 that you mis-measured, but I can add inches to the waistline of a dress.

Waistline looks a little wonky this high up.

Remove skirt portion, find awesome lace, add a new waistband. Viola! Skirt sits at the hips now.
