Custom Projects

I love a challenge. My husband would say that I bite off more than I can chew and then I figure out how to swallow it after the fact, instead of spitting some out (or saying "no, I'm too busy").

So when a client calls up and says, "I have this project and I think you can do it, will you?" I jump on it.

Here are some samples of random things I've made for a customer. I have so many that I never got pictures of also. I need to remember to "pics or it didn't happen."

On the left is an original 1971 gym duffle owned by a lovely Cal Poly professor. It has not had a zipper for 10 years and it only has one handle, yet he could not find a small canvas bag for just the essentials anywhere. His admin assistant called me up and begged me to make him a new 1970s duffle. So, voila! On the right: I give you a reinforced, lined, simple cylindrical duffle that he can use for the next 40 years. Happy gyming!

This beautiful custom pergola needed some summer shades.

I took heavyweight wax reinforced canvas and sewed a simple wide hemline all the way around. I then punched in some grommets for easy hanging, and bam this oversized project was done in a weekend. It will last for many summers to come.
